WORKSHOP FOR LESBIAN/GAY COUPLES STRUGGLING with ISSUES ABOUT GETTING MARRIED

I have talked to many couples since the recent California Supreme Court decision permitting gay and lesbian couples to marry in California.  For some the decision to get married or what kind of ceremony to have, has created or brought up issues in their relationships.  The stress caused by dealing with these issues is exacerbated by the feeling that we have to decide and get married before the elections in November.

In this workshop, couples can deal with some of these issues in an open non-judgmental atmosphere and in a thoughtful way get closer to making a decision that works for both partners of the couple.

Saturday Morning, August 23^rd  (Other dates added if needed)

Time:  9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Cost::   $30.00/couple

 Some of the issues we will cover in this workshop are:

• Personal resistance to the word and institution of marriage by one or both partners
   

• How to talk about those things you are hesitant to commit to
   

• How to come to a decision when you disagree
   

• How not to take it personally when your partner thinks differently from you
